All though I am still new to all this I have learned that when ever I am going to the store, even for the smallest of shopping lists that I should bring my coupons. I have a small coupon binder, small enough to fit into my purse to carry in case there is a unlisted sale or something I have forgotten was on sale. Today was one such day. And there were good sales to be had!
Most of the savings I have posted on here are items you can print then and there and go to your local store and pick up. But I also go through the paper and mail coupons, clipping what I need, want, and will use in the near future or can stock up on. I can not stress enough of how important it is for you to sit down, at least once a week and go through the coupons set in the mail, from the news paper or traded from friends and family. these savings can help out a lot, even when not planned!
Today I went to Giant Eagle they had pot shoulder roasts BOGO, I like to get these when the price is right, two roasts for $11 is good with how meat prices are, around $2 a lb
They also Had Kellogg's Cereal 4 for $10 I'm a big Cereal muncher, so this already being a good deal I was going, but I also had another $1 off coupon, making each box just $2.
When I got there they also had Cheerios on sale for $2.75 a box, I had two $.50 cent coupons that will double to a dollar making them $1.75 a box.
Texas brand Garlic Toast is on sale for $2.99 had a $.50 cent off coupon that doubled making it $2.00
Mrs dash dip mix was $1.29 Had a $.75 off two that doubled making them $.54 cents each
This time a year there are tons of candy coupons, make sure you read them close, you don't always have to get the big bags, sometimes they are good on the *XL* size in the checkout lines for $1, I had a coupon for $1 off two twizzlers. It was for any size 9 OZ and up, the ones for $1 at the check out are 10oz so I got two for $.50 cents each!
Saving is getting easier and easier.
You just need to be prepared every time you go into a store, and remember to look at all the fine print and all the sizes on the shelf!
Happy saving!
