Here we are again another year about to be over. I would like to say I reached some goals, But the cosmos had some other ideas. So I am glad this year is wrapping up, because I need a break, financially and spiritually.
It seemed that every time I got some money socked away something you happen. I had planned on new tires for this winter season but one evening a trip to the emergency Vet clinic took just about all that was there. It Happens, whether you have children or pets emergencies Happen.
Christmas was very small, The tire fund was started again and I have hopes that with this years tax return I can finish saving the rest And get a new set of tires on my car.
This year my resolutions are as follows
1. Get new tires
2. Pay off car
3. Pay off remainder of medical debt
4. Pay down debt caused by the medical issues
5. Start living my life a little more than just existing in it.
Now you ask how will these be achieved?
The Car only has a few payments left, so those will free up a tidy sum each month. I will use that for the better part of the year to pay down remaining debts, medical first to get them off my back. (even if you are paying on time, and not missing a payment they harass you. )
The remainder I have midway to end of the year I am going to hopefully acquire a personal Loan to lump together with a lower interest and have one payment each month.
Hopefully this will also free up some extra $ beyond that which I can start building up my savings again.
A friend and avid saver as well as blogger has shared a way to save up money rather fast. All though It will be hard for me to achieve the level of savings half way through the year on the chart, I will do what I can till I can start saving up more. Here is the chart.
52 weeks
Each week save the amount of money according to that week.
By the end of a 1 year time you will have saved over $1k
I will do My best to save up what I can, and hopefully begin my year later on, or at least have some saved to show for it.
